With its message of value and product sustainability, Cartridge World, the world’s largest dedicated specialty retailer of ink and toner printer cartridges, engaged Hughes Agency to increase awareness and drive sales among local businesses and consumers for two Greenville franchise stores.

Convince customers to make a change in behavior by reusing their printer cartridges rather than throwing them away. Communicate the company’s value and sustainability messages. Establish a social media presence for the brand in the market. Raise visibility at community events.

Hughes Agency told the story of Cartridge World through a strategic mix of media relations, traditional and digital marketing, and social media. We leveraged our connections to create vital business development opportunities. We also formulated a plan for communicating on a regular basis in the market using a combination of community event sponsorships, grassroots engagement through Facebook and strategic media
planning and buying.

Results
Hughes Agency has helped Cartridge World’s main Greenville location consistently deliver sales results in the top 10 to 15 of about 600 stores nationwide. We generated buzz surrounding the opening of a new location. We launched a Facebook page and built a fan base online.
We produced a trade show booth that was replicated and is now used for trade shows spanning the country. We arranged over 100 business meetings with area CEOs and purchasing department heads.
